MG5 Wedge Chrome

The Milled Grind 5 is the first MG wedge TaylorMade has forged rather than cast, and it is built for players who want to match sole grind to their own delivery and turf conditions. Six grinds run from 46° to 60°. This is the Chrome finish.

Forged Feel

MG5 heads are fully forged from ultrasoft carbon steel, which TaylorMade did to give the wedge consistently soft feel and clearer feedback on short shots.

Saw-Milled Grooves

The grooves are saw-milled to tighter tolerances than the previous model, which let TaylorMade cut steeper walls and sharper radii. The aim is more spin and more control on every shot.

Spin in Wet Conditions

A RAW face finish and Spin Tread technology work together when the ball or the turf is wet. Laser-etched channels redirect water away from the face at impact, the same way tire treads keep a car connected to the road, so friction and spin hold up.

Six Grinds

SB – the standard full-swing sole, with a four-way camber that suits a range of swing styles and turf conditions. LB – low bounce for shallow swings and tight, firm ground. HB – high bounce with built-in heel relief for steeper swings or soft conditions. SC – a C-shaped sole with heel and toe relief for opening the face and playing off tight lies. SX – the widest sole, with a Reverse-C trailing edge that keeps bounce consistent as you manipulate the face. TW – Tiger Woods' own grind, updated with a new leading edge, trailing-edge relief and more bounce in the heel.
