Rory McIlroy just won back-to-back Masters titles, becoming only the fourth player ever to win multiple Green Jackets. He now has six majors to his name, and he did it all with a full bag of TaylorMade clubs that he and his fitter Adrian Rietveld spent the offseason overhauling. Seven of his 14 clubs were changed heading into 2026 — so let's get into what he was actually swinging.
The Driver: TaylorMade Qi4D
Rory made the jump to the Qi4D late last fall and called it the easiest driver switch of his career. His fitter Adrian Rietveld said the testing session was the best he'd seen in 15 years of fitting. High praise. The head is set to 8° (two clicks down via the FCT sleeve), paired with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6-X shaft.
The Specs:
- Loft Sleeve: 2 Toward Lower
- Lie: 59°
- Front Weights: 4g, 4g
- Back Weights: 11g, 11g
- Shaft: Ventus Black 6X
- Length: 45 5/8''
- Tipping: 1''
- Swingweight: D5
- Grip: Golf Pride MCC Black/White
- Wraps: 2

Fairway Woods: Qi4D 5-Wood, Qi10 3-Wood
Rory plays a Qi4D 5-wood, but he actually switched back to his older Qi10 3-wood for Masters week. Funny enough, the last five major champions before him all used the same Qi10 3-wood — so maybe there's something to it.
The Specs
- Head: Qi4D 5-Wood
- Finished Loft: 17.5°
- Lie: 58.5°
- Shaft: Ventus Black 9X
- Tipping: 2''
- Length: 41 5/8'' (End of Grip)

Irons: RORS PROTO Blades
Earlier this year Rory tried switching to cavity-backs, but that experiment didn't last long. He was back in his RORS PROTO blades by Pebble Beach and didn't look back. "That experiment's over," he said. "Back to the trusty irons that I've played basically my whole career." He carries a P760 in the 4-iron spot and the RORS PROTOs from 5 through 9, all on Project X 7.0 shafts. Rietveld explained the appeal simply: they have a short blade length that lets Rory work the ball both ways, and they hold spin really well.
The Specs:
- Loft: 23°, 26°, 30°, 34°, 38°, 42°
- Lie: 59°, 59.5°, 60°, 60.5°, 61°, 61.5°
- Length (End of Grip): 38.75'', 38 5/16'', 37 7/8'', 37 1/4'', 36 3/4'', 36 1/4''

Wedges: TaylorMade MG5
Rory switched to the MG5 wedges back at the Irish Open last September. TaylorMade copied the exact shape of his old MG4s, so the transition was seamless. He carries four wedges — 46°, 50°, 54°, and 60° — though that 60° is actually bent to 61° to improve turf interaction on tight lies. It also helps him on those tricky 40-to-70 yard shots that have given him trouble in the past.
The Specs:
- Loft: 46°, 50°, 54°, 61°
- Lie: 62°, 63°, 63°, 63°
- Length (End of Grip): 36 1/4'', 35 7/8'', 35 3/4'', 35 1/4''

Putter: TaylorMade Spider Tour X
Nothing flashy here. Rory rolls it with a Spider Tour X and a SuperStroke Pistol Tour grip. It's a compact mallet that's been steady all season.
The Specs:
- Hosel: Short Slant
- Sight Line: Full Line
- Insert: Pure Roll
- Shaft: Black Stepless
- Length: 34 1/2'' (End of Grip)
- Loft: 2°
- Lie: 69°
- Grip: SuperStroke Pistol Tour
- Wraps: 1

Ball: TaylorMade TP5 (2026)
He also upgraded to the new 2026 TP5, which uses a microcoating process on the cover for more consistent spin. Rietveld said Rory was seeing tighter spin numbers right away: "For a player of his standard, that's a big deal."

Rory's bag is a good reminder that even the best players in the world are constantly tinkering. Some changes stuck — the driver, wedges, and ball were all upgrades. Some didn't — the iron experiment was short-lived. Either way, six majors and counting.
