Driver
PING G440 LST Driver
After holding onto his trusted PING G425 LST driver for years, Hovland finally made the move to the PING G440 LST.
The switch wasn't immediate. Hovland and PING tour rep Kenton Oates had been testing both the G440 LST and G440 K for nearly two seasons, but nothing could quite replace the feel of the G425. That changed when they paired the new head with a Fujikura Ventus TR Black VeloCore+ 7-X shaft. The stiffer mid-section gave Hovland the familiar feel he'd been looking for, and once the build came together, he started seeing the consistent ball flight he wanted.
Hovland spent the three-week break between the PGA Championship and U.S. Open getting comfortable with the setup, and it clearly paid off. His gamer is built to 45.75 inches, tipped one inch, set at 9 degrees (with an actual loft of 7.6 degrees), and features a 29-gram neutral CG weight, 5 grams of hot melt in the front, and a swing weight just over D5.

Elsewhere in the bag, not much has changed.
Fairway Wood
TaylorMade Qi35 3-Wood (15*)
His 3-wood remains a TaylorMade Qi35 (15°) paired with a Fujikura Ventus Blue OG 7-X shaft.

Hybrid
PING G440 Hybrid (20*)
His hybrid is a 20-degree Ping G440 fitted with a Graphite Design Tour AD DI-85 Hybrid X shaft.

Irons
PING i210 Irons (4-PW)
Hovland also continues to rely on one of the longest-running iron setups on Tour. His Ping i210 irons (4-PW) are built a quarter-inch short, bent 1.5 degrees flat, and paired with KBS Tour-V 120 X shafts. It's a setup he's trusted for years, and there's been little reason to change it.

Wedges
PING S259 Wedges (50*, 56*)
PING Glide 2.0 Lob Wedge
His wedge setup is a mix of old and new. The pitching and sand wedges have been updated to the Ping S259 in 50 and 56 degrees, but the lob wedge remains a Ping Glide 2.0. Hovland has said he prefers the way the older model sits behind the ball, along with its slightly narrower sole. It's a feel thing, and until something beats it, the Glide 2.0 isn't going anywhere.
