S259 Wedge Chrome

The s259 builds on the s159 family that won on Tour, and it is aimed at players who want to fit loft and sole grind to their own attack angle and turf. Six grinds across 25 loft and grind combinations, 46° to 62°. This is the Chrome finish.

Grooves Cut for the Shot

The wheel-cut grooves are precision-milled to different dimensions depending on loft. From 54° to 62° the MicroMax grooves sit more tightly spaced, so more groove edges engage the ball on short shots. From 46° to 52° a 20-degree sidewall maximises groove volume for control on full swings.

Face Blast for Friction

A friction-adding face blast works alongside the grooves, which matters most on the shorter shots where the ball never fully compresses into the grooves.

Feel

The cast 8620 carbon steel head carries a larger, reshaped elastomer insert behind the face. Ping also refined the hosel transition and added a full-length bottom groove for a cleaner, squarer look at address.

Six Grinds

S – mid bounce through the sole for full shots, with heel and trail-edge relief for greenside work. Fits the widest range of players and conditions. W – wide sole, now offered in 50° and 52° for steeper attack angles needing a lower-lofted option. H – the half-moon grind, for steeper deliveries and softer ground, and for players who manipulate the face. E – re-shaped on the s259 for a more familiar look at address while keeping performance from sand and slightly open-faced shots. T – a steeper trail edge lets the face sit very low on open-faced shots. B – offered in 58° and 60° at 8° bounce.
