Phantom Spec III

A limited, all-black release of Scotty Cameron's two Phantom OC mallets: the compact wingback Phantom 5 and the larger, high-MOI Phantom 11R. Both are built on the Onset-Center configuration, with a straight shaft set in line with the head's CG to resist twisting and keep the face square to the path. Each is milled and hand-finished in California and finished in black PVD with a black steel shaft and a black mid-size Matador grip, leaving three high-contrast sightlines as the only thing to look at. We stock both heads right-handed in 34" and 35".

  • Onset-Center (OC) - The straight shaft sits directly in line with the head's CG, cutting torque so the face stays square to the path through the stroke.
  • Black PVD Finish - A physical vapor deposition finish bonded to the milled head gives a durable, glare-free black look at address.
  • Three-Line Alignment - Tour-developed, high-contrast sightlines frame the ball and confirm aim.
  • Chain-Link Face Milling - Soft, responsive feel at impact; milled into a Studio Carbon Steel insert on the 5 and across the full face on the 11R.
  • 5 OC - Compact wingback mallet, Onset Center straight shaft, zero offset, three high-contrast sightlines. Square-to-path stroke. Full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert with chain-link milling.
